From September 2024, the West Midlands Grammar Schools have announced a new collaboration. Entrance into any of the Birmingham, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Walsall, and Wolverhampton grammar schools has now been combined, meaning students only need to sit ONE test on one day, to be considered for ANY of the grammar schools in Birmingham, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Walsall and Wolverhampton.
For Year 5 students, Excel Tuition Centre offer a series of 11+ mock exams; throughout the year. Our mock exam papers are completely designed around the GL Assessment standard, relevant to the West Midlands Grammar Schools partnership (Birmingham Consortium of Grammar Schools, Consortium of Grammar Schools in Warwickshire and the Consortium of Grammar Schools in Shropshire, Walsall and Wolverhampton), to ensure that every child receives the highest level of preparation. The mock exams provide an opportunity for the children to practise timed 11+ questions experience under exam conditions. The results of the mock exams will provide parents with an indication of the current levels their child or children are achieving.

11+ Intensive Revision Course
The 11+ Intensive Revision Course is focused on revising and revisiting all 11+ topics, including numeracy, non-verbal reasoning, English comprehension/literacy and verbal reasoning. During the course, students will practise and work through some of the most difficult questions within a given time frame to refine their exam technique.
At the end of the course, students will sit the final 11+ Mock Exam of the year.
